This feature documentary premieres on October 15, 2017 at 6PM (ET) on Maryland Public Television. Produced in collaboration with the University of Maryland Baltimore CURE Scholars Program, the documentary follows six young teens from West Baltimore who share their lives and the challenges of growing up in neighborhoods of violence and poverty.
STATE-WIDE PROBLEM GAMBLING CAMPAIGN 2017-2018
MedSchool Maryland Productions is designing and implementing a one year state-wide outreach campaign for the Center of Excellence on Problem Gambling and the Maryland Health Department. The campaign includes billboards, TV and radio PSAs, movie theatre advertisements, social media and a special website.
THE GAMBLING CONNECTION TO OPIATE USE: PERSONAL EXPERIENCES
This new short documentary explores the growing underlying problem of gambling addiction among opiate users. Filmed at a Methadone clinic in Baltimore, Maryland, it captures both the struggles and challenges, as well as the recovery and hope of three men.
THE UMB CURE SCHOLARS PROGRAM
The exciting first year of the UMB CURE Scholars program which brings science to middle school students in west Baltimore is shared by the scholars, teachers, administrators, mentors and the UMB team.
MedSchool Maryland developed a state-wide campaign addressing mind resilience in the health care workforce in collaboration with the BHA and multiple state agencies and nonprofits.

MedSchool Maryland Productions collaborated with the UMB CURE Scholars program to produce several videos exploring the lives of participants in the program, as well as one short documentary entitled “Shakeer from West Baltimore.”
