Commissioned to celebrate the 210th year of the University of Maryland School of Medicine, an extraordinary time line of early drawings and etching combined with historic video create a journey from the days of leeching to the world of 21st century of genomics, vaccine development and proton therapies.
Most people don’t realize that buying lottery tickets is very high risk gambling. Unfortunately, most people who regularly play the lottery are using money needed for rent and food. The lottery spots produced for The Center of Excellence on Problem Gambling are featured in the Maryland 2018 state-wide campaign.
NOT ALONE: IN RECOVERY
With many thousands of people responding to our problem gambling campaign music videos on our social media sites, we commissioned a composer to write a country western song that addressed gambling addictions and being in recovery.
FROM WEST BALTIMORE
This feature documentary premieres on October 15, 2017 at 6PM (ET) on Maryland Public Television. Produced in collaboration with the University of Maryland Baltimore CURE Scholars Program, the documentary follows six young teens from West Baltimore who share their lives and the challenges of growing up in neighborhoods of violence and poverty.
STATE-WIDE PROBLEM GAMBLING CAMPAIGN 2017-2018
MedSchool Maryland Productions is designing and implementing a one year state-wide outreach campaign for the Center of Excellence on Problem Gambling and the Maryland Health Department. The campaign includes billboards, TV and radio PSAs, movie theatre advertisements, social media and a special website.
THE GAMBLING CONNECTION TO OPIATE USE: PERSONAL EXPERIENCES
This new short documentary explores the growing underlying problem of gambling addiction among opiate users. Filmed at a Methadone clinic in Baltimore, Maryland, it captures both the struggles and challenges, as well as the recovery and hope of three men.
THE UMB CURE SCHOLARS PROGRAM
The exciting first year of the UMB CURE Scholars program which brings science to middle school students in west Baltimore is shared by the scholars, teachers, administrators, mentors and the UMB team.
MedSchool Maryland developed a state-wide campaign addressing mind resilience in the health care workforce in collaboration with the BHA and multiple state agencies and nonprofits.
